Got off work, freshened up a bit (put on this new sweater and took some photos to waste a little time), then went to the dentist! I have some cavities to get fixed in February. They put some weird fluoride treatment on my teeth and it tastes and feels gross! I got home and was famished, Daniel suggested Teriyaki Grill so we headed straight there and they weren't open for another 10 minutes so we went for a drive. After finally getting food in my belly I watched Sue Bryce, took more notes and now I can officially brush my teeth to get rid of that gunk.
Day 10 {left} Today was my daddio's birthday! We all got together at Ichiban's and had good food in good company. Also, earlier that morning I went and got my haircut again because it was getting too long! Happy as a bird with a french fry with my new cut ;)
Day 11 {right} This is my Leuchtturm1917 master slim dotted notebook. I use regular cheap bic pens because they write well & I love them. A program I'm participating in started today so I opened up my notebook to begin my studies! This is going to be great, I can feel it. Don't worry, I'm not slacking on the project! I'm just slacking on posting them to this blog! I am definitely keeping up perfectly on Flickr ;) Make sure to follow me on there if you never want to miss a photo!
https://www.flickr.com/photos/sparkleplenty69/ Day 8 {left} was a day of running errands and eating this delicious thanksgiving dinner pie from my mom! I'm talking potatoes, green beans, turkey, stuffing, cranberries and stuff all in a pie form. Daniel's favorite thing. Day 9 {right} The highlight of today was getting that tension bar and curtain hung up. In theory it wasn't going to be that difficult, of course in actuality it was a hilarious mess. I have to thank Daniel & my younger {but much taller} brother Jayk. Without the bro's height it wouldn't have been possible because we didn't have a tall ladder with us. In the end I have a lovely room divider to help form the studio into its own room! Making progress! If you follow me on instagram you would also have seen this: 7/365Today was another productive day! I helped out my bro via Skype, I stitched together a good portion of the tulle skirt, ordered & designed business cards, ordered & put together the posing guidebook, made appointments for the dentist, the skin doc, and my hair stylist! Busy busy on my days off! Going back to my graves tonight and happy to have been productive finally. Thought a photo of my little macbook would be a good representative of me taking care of business this morning! ;) I'm having so much fun doing the project this year! I decided that to make it better than my project in 2010 that I would make each photo either be an experiment, project, or representation of my day. I wanted to avoid the random blah photos as much as possible {however I'm also aiming to be realistic and know that there are bound to be crappy days with crappy photos throughout the year}.
I would LOVE to see your project! Post a link in the comments below so I can check it out! Also, I have enjoyed the first of the year production boost, but not looking forward to the inevitable slack off that comes afterwards...aiming to avoid it as much as I can.
5/365Today was a busy day! I managed to get my studio space zoned and renew my business license. Then I began the process of painting my boards for backdrops! Here's the primer coat waiting to dry. As a graveyard worker, it was about bed time when I finished painting the primer on so I didn't last much longer after I was done, point being...I would have to apply the real paint much later than planned. Oh well, we all need our sleep!
3/365The notebooks I ordered from Amazon came! There's a Leuchtturm1917 Master Slim dotted notebook and a Moleskin Cities San Francisco guide book. I am obsessed with notebooks and can't wait to dig in!
I visit San Francisco every year in May so I will definitely have content to add inside the city book. The Leuchtturm notebook will be dedicated to my glamour photography business development via the 28 Days program with Sue Bryce. 2/365We were on our way to the store to pick up a space heater to help unfreeze our pipes {and it worked by the way} when we saw this simple scene. We loved how it was just barely before the sun peeked over the hill and you could see just enough detail. I went for a silhouette shot so to keep things as simple as possible. I also like how the bare trees and color of the sky portray that it was cold and definitely winter.
Woohoo!! It's 2015! Can you believe it? What will my daily photos be of? If something is going on, that's usually where a photo will come from because I like using this 365 project as a way to document my life as well as have fun & get creative with photography. SO first and foremost, the subject will often come from what's going on that day. If the day is plain, then I'll seek out ideas and get creative. On Google Drive I have created a spreadsheet with a running list of ideas and their variations. Here's a snapshot of that:
Another common curiosity is where to post your Project. I'm obviously dedicating a blog to it, try that if you like it. This platform is Weebly and I love it for its simplicity and drag & drop feature. Whipping up a blog/site with it is fun and quick. There are many other blog platforms you could use out there. Examples include blogger, squarespace, wordpress, tumblr, etc... I know I'm missing tons in this list so if you want to throw some suggestions out please do in the comments! I will also be posting my whole project on Flickr. That is by far my favorite photo sharing site. They give you TONS of room now for free members and sharing to other places is easy. Here's the link to the Flickr album I'll be adding to: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sparkleplenty69/sets/72157647720767604 ALSO on flickr you can add your photo to groups that are also participating in the project, that is probably my favorite. I'll likely download or screenshot my photo and add it to my instagram feed @gladyanne Where will you be sharing yours at?? Post it in the comments below so we can all check each other out {not in a creepy way of course} Now, of course, my first photo of 2015: 1/365It was snowing here in little ol' Saint George, Utah! The drive home was scary, but once I was home safe I ran outside to snap some photos. We don't get snow here very often ;)
Since I've officially moved Glady Anne Photography over to a self hosted Wordpress site {which is a lot of work}, I didn't know what to do with this blog. Should I keep it up? Then it so happens that I decided I wanted to do a project 365 again starting in 2015. So, I'm revamping this blog to fit the needs of blogging a 365 photo adventure! Check out the gallery of the last 365 I did back in 2010. I'm hoping the process goes smoother this time around. I'm assessing how it went last time and figuring out a way to make things easier this time around. Sure, I think I tried to do it a couple years ago, but I wasn't feeling it as much. This time I can feel it just as I did the first time. Motivation and inspiration are huge factors in this kind of project because it's a daily commitment. Aside from the obvious daily photo posts, I'll also be sharing struggles, ideas, projects, resources, themes, and the like. Fun relative to photography & life posts. I'm looking forward to the project and what 2015 will bring! Will you be doing a 365 photo project? |
